GenghisKhanBrain
The Genghis Khan Brain pepper has been grown and developed by the AIASP in Italy. Though the Genghis Khan Brain has been around for a few years, not many are familiar with it. Heat is similar to other Brain Strain Peppers. The scent is close to other red varieties but the heat cuts through your tongue. Not much of a throat grabbing heat, but this oily menace doesn't play any games.
The Genghis Khan Brain chili has a pimply rough-looking outer skin that ripens from green to red. When it ripens, you’ll notice delicious fruity tones and this pepper supposedly rivals the heat of any other super-hot pepper. What a reputation! The Genghis Khan Brian pepper plant grows over 4 feet tall.

These seeds were a free sample 2 years ago. Since I didn’t start the seeds until mid-March of that year and only had it in a pot, my yield wasn’t super the first year. I overwintered 2 of the plants that winter in my garage with grow lights and had a crazy bumper crop last year. So many bottles of hot sauce that we’re still giving them away. It’s a high producer with a great flavor.
Using a heat mat set at 95° and clear covers over the trays has increased germination significantly over relying on normal ambient temperature in the house. I've held out some seeds to be used in my hydroponic setup. Once I have that tuned up I'll grow them year round along with a number of other plants for salsa, hot sauce, and salads.
Hard to tell. Out of 15 I germinated and have planted I may have 7 that sprouted. I'll give yall a 5 for the awesome stickers and on good faith for a bountiful harvest. Cheerz.
I received Genghis Khan Brain pepper as free seeds in 2020. Since the first two seeds planted didn't germinate in mid-April, I decided to give them another try in June. This time one of two seeds germinated. Since it was really too late to grow them outdoors in Massachusetts by that time, we grew the plant in a hydroponic setup until March 2021. It required lots of pruining, and eventually had to be removed from the hydroponic setup to allow germination of this years peppers. The first few peppers were the correct size, but as time went on we got an abundance of smaller, but very hot fruit. We used these to make some great hot sauce. This years Genghis Khan Brain pepper is outdoors in a container and is now loaded with nicely shaped peppers that are turning bright red. Of the super hots I've grown in the past (Red Ghost, Copenhagen) and ones I'm growing this year (Trinidad Scorpion and Merlot 7 Pot), these are the most prolific.
I also got these seeds for free last year, and like the other reviewer have found them among my most productive plants. They germinated first and are producing dozens of peppers. I ate one this morning, and it was a screamer, simalar to other super hots, very slightly bitter but bright. I've made sauce and dried a bunch so far, and the plants are still cranking. Would recommend.
