Now YOU can decide the age-old debate on which one is hotter, the Habanero or the Scotch Bonnet? Don't let the smoky flavor fool you, it is Nuclear HOT so handle these Caribbean scorchers with care! The plant produces peppers that grow to around 1.5 inches, just like the Habanero. You can expect to taste a slightly sweet taste with hints of apples and cherries, but the heat will kick in immediately after a bite. The Scotch Bonnet peppers are important in Jamaican cuisines and in dishes of other Caribbean Islands. We recommend trying these peppers in a Jerk Chicken dish or a hot sauce!

WARNING: Plants adjust to small, gradual changes in their environment better than sudden shifts, which is what the hardening off process is all about. Just as you get burned when you bare your untanned skin to the sun, leaves of plants started indoors will develop pale, sunburned patches if they are suddenly exposed to too much sun. The story has a happier ending when you introduce seedlings to bright light and sheltered breezes gradually, over a period of one to three weeks. Read more information on how to harden off and transplant pepper plants in 6 steps.

Great Yield

Great yield for these and the color and flavor were exactly what I wanted. Took about 90 days from planting to getting ripe fruits. Still producing almost 5 months after planting.
