A relative to the Habanero pepper, this heirloom chili pepper is known as the Mushroom Red Cap is a super-hot pepper that has a nice aroma and grows into a mushroom shape, hence its name. Some have described the shape similar to a patty-pan.
This pepper plant is about 24” tall and the fruit grows to about the size of a golf ball, 2-3" in size. The Mushroom Red Cap will grow from green to red when matured and is thin-skinned. Best grown in warmer climates between 75-85 degrees Fahrenheit.
Recommended for garnishes, pickling, or drying.
