A rare variation of a 7 Pot, the Barrackpore is a little bit sweet but has more bitterness than its relatives. This pepper is still amongst the hottest in the world, even hotter than the 7 Pot standard, this elongated pepper has dimples and a wrinkly appearance. On the larger side of the 7 Pot peppers, the Barrackpore gets to be about 3 inches and sometimes grows a tail, like a scorpion pepper. This plant will grow to be about 4 ft tall and is very productive. The 7 Pot varieties are named for the ability to spice up 7 pots of stew with one pod.
