Aji Charapitas are tiny, pea-sized peppers, but they’re oh so fiery. These delicious little poppers have sweet, citrus tones and are the same heat level as the Cayenne Pepper and will burn your tongue right away. The Aji Charapita plant grows to about three feet tall and produces hundreds of .25 inch peppers. Maturing from green to yellow, this crunchy, productive pepper can be grown on patios, in greenhouses and houses!
Fun Fact: The Aji Charapita pepper, also known as the Wild Peruvian Chili Pepper, it is sold at very high prices by gourmet chefs around the world. Reports have said that it is the most expensive pepper in the world and sells over $20,000 for a dried kilo!
