Description:

You’ve heard of the classic Cayenne Pepper but now try growing the Purple Cayenne! Just like its parent strain, Purple Cayennes are a great variety that's utilized for their high pepper production, nice heat, and great flavor!

Purple Cayenne pepper plants are fairly compact and grow just over 2 ft. tall. Watch as they produce beautiful white-purple flowers and plenty of long, stringy pepper pods that span 3-6" in length. These are incredibly prolific plants, so be prepared for plenty of pods! The Cayenne Purple matures from light green to dark purple, and then red in the last stage of maturity.

These purple variants have the same qualities and flavors as other Cayennes, including the same spicy heat! But you will notice a slightly sweeter undertone with these peppers that make the great when used fresh, pickled, dried, or even as ornamental peppers! These also make for fantastic hot pepper flakes, salsas, and vinegar sauce!

Emma - Hot Stepper Pepper Farm
Great Germination!

Bought some purple cayenne seeds to start for my local pepper farm this year, and they germinate like a dream! Fastest and healthiest sprouts I've ever had!

I went from a seedling killer to a semi-successful transplanter!
