Sprouted and looking good 👍
Unfortunately only half of them came up but looking good
I can't comment on the germination rate because I didn't grow all the seeds. I was after one healthy plant since there are only two hot pepper lovers in our house, and we wanted a variety. I put it in a 10" container, and plopped it in the central Florida sunshine. This plant absolutely loved the weather. It grew in several directions, and fruited all year. I mean, I would be looking at a strange looking bell or jalepeno pepper, and realize the chocolate hab was growing through it's neighbors! Don't get me started on how tasty this is in making jerk sauce. It has a perfect earthiness and heat. And my wife creates a hot pepper-flavored olive oil using both chocolate hab and cayenne. Great for cooking (be aware of heat fog!) Anyway, I'm a chocolate lover for life.
I was shocked and surprised how fast I got my order and all the extra's which I knew nothing about that was stuck in there put one huge smile on my face.
After not having any Chocolate Habanero plants last year finding Pepper Joes has made me a happy camper again. But I'm not sure which I more more excited about, my beloved Chocolate Habenero's or all mystery peer seed mix I also got. Maybe a new love is about to enter my life and am excited to see what it may be!
From here on out I will only buy pepper seeds of any kind from Pepper Joes and will definitely be buying some hot sauces in the future too!
Seeds already germinating. Looking forward to these peppers!
