Description:

Feeling a little loco? We at Pepper Joe’s are always feeling a little loco…okay, maybe very loco. It’s always exciting to see the many pepper varieties that we are adding every year, and you cannot miss out on the Loco Pepper Seeds!

Primarily known to be an ornamental pepper plant, this is a wonderful pepper plant to add as a garden accent. Ripening from green, violet/purple, orange, and then bright red, it’s exciting to watch the colors change. The best part is when they turn to a violet/purple color with orange overtones. This pepper deserves the name Loco (also known as the Spanish word “crazy”) because it is a dazzling pepper plant that produces colorful peppers at different maturity stages. Not only are the colors beautiful, but the pepper plant has attractive pointy blue-green leaves and features subtle white star-shaped flowers with purple overtones. Use the Loco Ornamental pepper for hanging baskets, general garden use, and container planting!

Bred in England, the eye-catching Loco pepper plant will grow to almost 2 feet tall and will produce heavy yields of 2 inches-long, oval-shaped pods. The pepper plant is a productive plant with high yields, but you won’t want to harvest the chilies because of how gorgeous they look. The colorful peppers have a moderate heat of about 24,000 SHUs that’s spicy enough to add a kick to your cooking. The heat is just under the heat level of Cayenne peppers! The tiny pods are fun to add bold color to any dish and heat up your menu.

Multiple pepper review

I got 10 packs of peppers (x12 seed packs) and at least 4 of each pepper has germinated. From the germination only one total did not make it from the initial transplant. I am yet to make the next transplant into the ground but there’s still plenty of time! Hopefully there will be tons of pepper to harvest soon!
