Behold, the superhot MA Wartryx! From legendary chile grower, Matthew Arthur, comes another wicked crossbreed between…well, no one really knows. Some say it was the result of an accidental cross between anywhere from 3-5 different chiles, which we heard could be a cross of the Trinidad Scorpion, 7 Pot Jonah, and Ubatuba Cambucci. We may never know why and how this was made, but we do know this is one HOT pepper with a heat level close to 7 Pots and Scorpions.
The MA Wartryx pepper plants are beautiful productive plants that can grow as high at 4 feet and are extremely bountiful. These peppers have a very rough and wrinkly texture compared to their brother the Wartryx, but are otherwise similar in overall shape and size. They may also have a Scotch Bonnet or mushroom shape. They ripen from green to an orange-red color and have a sweet, fruity flavor with some hints of floral as well.
WARNING: Plants adjust to small, gradual changes in their environment better than sudden shifts, which is what the hardening off process is all about. Just as you get burned when you bare your untanned skin to the sun, leaves of plants started indoors will develop pale, sunburned patches if they are suddenly exposed to too much sun. The story has a happier ending when you introduce seedlings to bright light and sheltered breezes gradually, over a period of one to three weeks.Read more information onhow to harden off and transplant pepper plants in 6 steps.
