Description:

Try your hand out at growing our colorful Cayenne pepper seeds from Pepper Joe's! This heirloom variety grows in such an explosion of colors that you'll never get tired of looking at these peppers!

These sturdy pepper plants grow plenty of these red, skinny pods that stretch up to 5-6" long. You'll notice an array of different colors as you watch these peppers mature from green to red, but don't just wait to harvest red peppers! Harvest them in different colors because most of the fun is with the colors!

We say this because each color has its own unique nutritional profile and taste, so you'll never get bored with its amazing flavors! Traditionally, these peppers are sweet with subtle smoky flavors, but these change as well depending on how ripe the peppers are. When roasted, they exude a warm, nutty flavor! Cayenne peppers are the absolute best pepper for drying and making into seasoning. Try growing them for yourself!

Germinated and awesome!

Nearly ALL of the seeds I planted germinated inside and under grow lights with daily watering/spritzing. I planted about two dozen, and only about 3-4 didn't come up. I then proceeded to accidentally kill most of them, but still — the ones that survived are thriving. Really resilient little guys. Highly recommend ordering from here. The habaneros and cayennes were the toughest of the bunch, and the jalapenos and thai peppers were a bit more sensitive once transplanted.
