The seeds arrived quickly. I stuck them in the freezer for a few days then soaked them in black tea and planted them in a peat pellet seed starter. Grow light 12 hours a day. Within days I had sprouts. They've been moved to bigger peat pots in quart-sized Ziploc "greenhouses."So far so good.
the website was easy to navigate and was able to order what i needed thanks
These grew earlier than any of my other peppers I grew, and they just keep producing. I've been using them as a substitute for green peppers so I can let my bell peppers ripen. There is not a single dish that was not improved by using shishitos instead of green peppers. I just tried them as poppers (fill with cream cheese, onion, and bacon) last night and they were amazing. These will be a staple in my garden from here on out. Zone 5b.
I can't say enough about these excellent shishito peppers. I have 6 total plant plots with 2 plants in each using 1.5 square foot gardening rows. Once these beasts start producing, be ready for a full flush of a good 25 full 4 - 6" long crunchy, juicy, and all around beautiful peppers from every single plant each week. I've already had 3 harvests and they aren't even beginning to slow down on July 31st in Pittsburgh, PA. Buy these over any other sweets and enjoy them like I have been!
