Description:

La planta de pimienta blanca Biquinho es conocida por proporcionar una enorme cantidad de pimientos. En una sola temporada de cultivo, ¡ es muy posible obtener cientos ! Los pimientos tienen forma de lágrima invertida y alcanzan aproximadamente 2,5 cm de tamaño. Las vainas del pimiento blanco Biquinho comienzan siendo verdes y maduran hasta adquirir un color blanco perla o blanco amarillento. Estas plantas son compactas y alcanzan entre 60 y 90 cm de altura.

El pimiento blanco Biquinho tiene varios apodos únicos. También se le conoce como " Pimiento Piquito ", " Gotita Sudorosa " o " Besito ". La palabra "biquinho" es portuguesa y se traduce como "pico pequeño". Al igual que el pimiento rojo Biquinho , el blanco Biquinho es muy popular en Brasil y Perú, y los lugareños lo llaman comúnmente " Chupetinho " .

Our Live Plant Process

Our Live Plant Growing & Shipping Process

At Pepper Joe's, our live pepper plants are grown with care from the very beginning to ensure customers receive strong, healthy plants ready to thrive.

All of our pepper plants are greenhouse grown hydroponically in rockwool, allowing for consistent nutrition, controlled growing conditions, and strong root development. Many varieties are started as early as December, giving plants ample time to mature before shipping season begins in April.

Each plant is grown to approximately 4 inches before being prepared for shipment. Prior to shipping, every plant is individually inspected by a member of our greenhouse team to ensure it meets our quality standards.

Plants are shipped in a protective mini greenhouse made from recycled material, specially sourced to help safeguard live plants during transit. This packaging helps maintain plant structure and reduce stress while traveling to your door.

When will my pre-order live plant ship?

  • Pre-order live plants begin shipping in April. Orders are fulfilled based on the shipping week you selected at checkout.
  • Not sure which week you chose? Log in to your account (or create one using the same email) to view your order details.

All non-Pre-order live plant orders ship the next business day.

Live plants ship only to the contiguous U.S.

Live Plant Refund & Replacement Information

Refund & Replacement Policy

We offer a replacement or refund for live plants reported as damaged or unsatisfactory within a reasonable timeframe, typically 48–72 hours after delivery. Clear photos of the plant(s) and packaging may be required to process a claim.

Additional limits:

  • We can’t offer refunds or replacements for issues reported more than 7 days after transplanting, as plant health can be affected by factors outside our control.
  • No refunds or replacements will be issued for dead plants more than 30 days after delivery, under any circumstances.
  • We offer one replacement per order for all products, including seeds and live plants.
  • If a replacement is needed but the item is out of stock, we’ll provide a gift card or refund equal to the item value.

They were in poor condition upon arrival, tiny and not very healthy and died shortly after planting. I know there is a margin of user/gardener error taken into consideration. I am a lifelong gardener, many years. That being said, I am gardening in a state I’ve never grown things where I am now and that too needs to be taken into consideration, all being fair. At the same time although the price of everything has gone up, and yes, I’ve been ordering plants for more years than I like to admit and spent more money than I’d like to admit but I honestly felt the size and quality of the plants was not on par with the price.

Not a Happy Gardener

I really wanted these to compliment my red and yellow biquinho peppers, but alas all four plants have not survived the summer temperatures. As a 35+ year Extension horticulturist I don't lack the knowledge to grow plants. These transplants were acclimated before moving to EarthBoxes. I really want this variety, are seeds available?

I buy a lot of transplants and out of all the plants I purchased this year, Pepper Joe's has performed the worst. They were also the most expensive. Would probably work in a hydro set up. I grow in soil, they're doing terrible. Other peppers from other brands are thriving. Disappointed.
