Guajillo Pepper Seeds

One of the most popular chiles grown in Mexico, the Guajillo pepper is actually the dried form of Mirasol Peppers. They have a great flavor and a mild heat that makes these peppers versatile in much of Mexican cooking.

The Guajillo pepper plant grows around 2-3 ft. tall and produces many pods that are 3-6" long and 1" wide. They have a pendant-looking shape, tapering off to a point, with a raisin-like, wrinkly texture and a brownish-red color as they ripen to maturity.

The Guajillo chili has sweet, fruity tones, and then it hits you with a sharp, savory mild heat. The dried Guajillo chiles have a unique process as they are dried first as whole pods, then crush to a powder to make a seasoning paste. This pepper can be used to create mole sauces, salsas, sauces, and more!
