Description:

The Black Sea Man Tomato is an heirloom coming all the way from Russia that delivers a delicious palette of flavors! A very productive variety, you won't want to miss out on growing this dark beauty!

These tomato plants will grow to be around 4 ft. tall. Watch as they produce plenty of dark, 4-5" wide fruits that have smooth skin and slight ribs toward the tops. The colors are magnificent, ripening early to rich mahogany, to black, and finally to a dark green color. Inside the fruits, you'll see a deep reddish-green color.

Enjoy delectably sweet, creamy, and tangy flavors when you take a bite of the Black Sea Man Tomato. This is a variety you can use fresh in tomato salads, sandwiches, toppings, and more. In Russia, the Black Sea Man Tomato is typically enjoyed sliced on Russian Black bread. Grab a packet of these seeds today!

This is a determinate tomato variety. Although plants grow large (up to 4 feet), they can still be grown in large containers.

    Great production

I grew these last year, and that garden didn't even have great soil, but I still good yield and some very large tomatoes.

    • What You'll Need

      Soil and Tray Method

      Seed Starting Supplies
    • Plant your Seeds

      1. Pre-saturate your seed starting soil mix. Ensure the seed starting mix is fully saturated prior to planting your seed.
      2. Make a ¼-inch hole in the center of each seed starting cell. A #2 pencil eraser is a great tool for making these holes.
      3. Place your seed and cover gently with soil.
You can plant up to 4 seeds per cell to help ensure successful germination.
    • 4. Place your heat mat under  your base tray and your humidity dome on top. For best results, set your temperature controller between 75 - 80 degrees.

      5. Place your plant light above the seed starting tray and turn on. Refer to the plant light manufacturers instructions for the optimal distance. Plant light should remain on for 14 to 16 hours per day.

      6. Enjoy watching them grow! See our full instruction page below for more information.
