Did Jamaica put the Scotch Bonnet on the map...or vice versa? Either way, this Yellow Scotch Bonnet pepper is a hot pepper not to miss out on! The plant produces peppers that grow to around 1.5 inches, just like the Habanero. These peppers will turn from green to yellow when they mature, and the plant will also create white flowers. This pepper adds a spicy Caribbean kick to just about any meal and is an absolute beauty in both color and shape. If you’re looking for a hot, yellow pepper plant to add to your garden and growing list, this is a great, unique hot pepper.

WARNING: Plants adjust to small, gradual changes in their environment better than sudden shifts, which is what the hardening off process is all about. Just as you get burned when you bare your untanned skin to the sun, leaves of plants started indoors will develop pale, sunburned patches if they are suddenly exposed to too much sun. The story has a happier ending when you introduce seedlings to bright light and sheltered breezes gradually, over a period of one to three weeks. Read more information on how to harden off and transplant pepper plants in 6 steps.

Scotch bonnet

My peppers arrived in good condition and I carefully followed the instructions to transplant them. They’re now happily growing and flowering so I’m looking forward to picking some flavorful peppers very soon

Thriving little plants

I bought 2 live yellow scotch bonnet and they arrived in a timely manner and very healthy. Transfered them to a 3 gallon pots and left them on the shades side of my greenhouse for about a week untill they acclimated then moved them over to the sunny side and they blew up. Doing so well and already starting to flower. I was going to post a picture but the option isn't available.

Very happy with my purchase and will definitely be buying from pepper Joe's next season and there after! 100% reccommend no doubt!!

Thanks pepper Joe's!
