You’ve heard of the classic Cayenne Pepper, but the Cayenne Purple is a twist.  The Purple Cayenne Pepper is a dark purple that grows to three to six inches long, and the plant grows just over two feet tall with beautiful white-purple flowers. They are hot peppers, but the flavor is impressive as it is slightly sweeter than the red cayenne pepper.  They are great used fresh, pickled, dried, or ornamentally, and you can use them to make hot pepper flakes, salsas, or vinegar sauce!  The Cayenne Purple mature from light green to dark purple, and then red in the last stage of maturity.

Fun FactA majority of hot sauces utilize the cayenne pepper for its incredibly large yields, nice heat, and flavor!

The purple cayenne peppers I grew from these seeds are stunning. I wish I could add a photo! They’re so dark, they’re almost black!

Great germination

Great germination 100% of the 12 seeds germinated and are still living. Seedlings are purple and continue to keep the purple color as they grow.Plants are now putting on the first blooms no fruit on the plants yet.

Purple cayenne

Finally starting to sprout after 30 days. I don’t know if you supplied the red yellow purple chocolate scorpions and peach habanero but they have not sprouted at all.

Look good so far

I tried to germinate 5 seeds and they all sprouted! Two of the seedlings looked so dark purple they were almost black, so I’m really excited to see how the peppers look. They’re still small so I haven’t seen the peppers yet but my seedlings are doing very well! Also, they germinated really fast, I got tails within a couple days, they grew faster than the paprika seeds I ordered.
