Feeling like starting a crazy holiday tradition? How about a spicy aperitif that intensely burns your throat before the meal to kick it off? This is an easy alcoholic drink recipe to make, and it only requires three things: a bottle of Goldschläger, Carolina Reapers, and shot glasses! If you're not familiar with Goldschläger, it's a cinnamon schnapps liqueur with 24k gold flakes floating in it. This can be a great parting gift, or you can use airplane-sized prepared bottles to give as small, unforgettable gifts.
Thank you Kevin for sharing this recipe! Kevin started this creation after realizing he ended up with more Carolina Reapers that he didn't know what to do with it, so this became his long standing holiday tradition. Beware, your guests are only going to want to take just one shot because well, it's a double burn from the liquor AND the Carolina Reapers!
It's truly a memorable experience (but of course, use common sense disclaimers - like this is not for children). Don't worry about your guests becoming inebriated, because over the years, not one of my guests has asked for seconds. - Kevin

Any size bottle of Goldschläger from your local liquor store
Carolina Reapers (the amount is up to you)
Shot Glasses
Slice and deseed some Carolina Reapers, and put them inside the Goldschläger bottle. The number of peppers is totally up to you!
Let it stand for at least a few days, then put it straight into your freezer before serving it along with shot glasses if you have them. It won’t freeze due to the liquor content and will reach the perfect serving temperature.
Serve it in ice cold shot glasses, about a thimble full is usually a good amount. It's not for sipping, you have to take it all at once or not at all.
If you have leftover Carolina Reapers during the holidays and you want to use them, try creating this alcoholic drink. The shot tastes best when it's been in the freezer to get cool!
