Want to heat up your kitchen with one of the world's most famous hot peppers? These heirloom peppers originated in India and you will impress your friends and family with this plant. The Ghost Pepper plant will have peppers growing from 2.5 to 3.3 inches long, and they will ripe to a beautiful red color. The flavor of the Bhut Jolokia pepper is an intensely fruity and sweet chili flavor, and the heat will kick in immediately. This is a great pepper to use for hot sauces and powders, and the ghost pepper is a staple in Indian cooking. Just beware of the immediate burn when you take the first bite and have some ice cream near you!

WARNING: Plants adjust to small, gradual changes in their environment better than sudden shifts, which is what the hardening off process is all about. Just as you get burned when you bare your untanned skin to the sun, leaves of plants started indoors will develop pale, sunburned patches if they are suddenly exposed to too much sun. The story has a happier ending when you introduce seedlings to bright light and sheltered breezes gradually, over a period of one to three weeks. Read more information on how to harden off and transplant pepper plants in 6 steps.

Growing like weeds

One (of the two I ordered) arrived DOA. You replaced that, and even though the first one had a two week head start, junior is catching up quickly!

Doing Well

Got these plants and they weren't doing well when I put them in the ground. Took about a solid 2 months and now these guys have taken off. Both plants are strong and healthy and just waiting for them to pop off some peppers!

Awesome! Thanks for sharing! Nice work giving them the proper start!

Bought a couple of Reaper live plants. Arrived in perfect condition. Conditioned them for about a week. Put them in the ground and they are doing great!!!!

Awesome little seedlings!

So, last year I ordered a bunch of different starter plants from a large online retailer. When they arrived, they were sickly and tiny. Out of 18 plants, 6 survived.

This year, while I was getting my seeds going, I decided to try ordering 4 plants from Pepper Joe. Let me tell you, they are amazing little plants. First, they come in a box designed to ship plants so they were not damaged in anyway. Second, the roots are packed with a paper towel and wrapped in plastic so they are still moist when they arrive.

I will never order seedling plants from any other company. Yes, they are more expensive. Yes, the shipping was a little slower...BUT, it is worth it! Just order already....Your welcome.
