Description:

Deliciously sweet and well-liked by many, Goldie Husk Tomatillos are a great variety to grow in your garden! When it’s time to harvest the fruits, they make for a sweet jelly, sauce, and a nice, quick snack!

Tomatillo plants will grow up to 3 ft. tall and are very prolific. Fruits are less than an inch around and change colors from green to egg-yolk yellow. The skin is very smooth and shiny covered up by a husk that matures from green to brown and becomes papery. Fruits may fall to the ground at maturity – some growers lay a tarp down underneath the plant to catch these fallen pods.

Use Goldie Husk Tomatillos in homemade salsa, sauce, jellies, and jams. You can also use these golden tomatillos in fresh salads, meals, and desserts, or let them ferment!

Poor Germination Rate and Unlabeled Peppers

The majority of the peppers I ordered germinated well, but the super hots that I really wanted had a very poor germination rate. I only ended up with one plant actually germinating. The tomatillos I ordered didn’t germinate. I received some unlabeled peppers, but I think they may have been other peppers I ordered, only time will tell. The unlabelled peppers germinated well though.
