PurpleJalapeno

Purple Jalapeno Seeds

Size

Add this unique and delicious Jalapeno pepper to your Jalapeno collection! Not only will it be delicious to cook with, but its purple colors will stand out from the crowd. It will ripen from green, to purple and almost nearly black, to then a blood red, and the Purple Jalapeno pepper plant will produce lavender flowers with the 2-inch peppers. It will be noticeably sweeter than the other Jalapenos. The novelty of a purple Jalapeno combined with its flavor is a winner. Stuff it with "Slim Jim" pepperoni sticks and sharp cheese, and you’re in for a treat!

80% Germ Rate

This pepper is beautiful and heat is perfect!! I started using rock wool cubes after receiving beautiful seedlings from PJ's last year and my germ rate is up across all varietitees I grew out this year.

Great seeds and plant!

My purple Jalapeno seeds came in my first PepperJoe.com order. This has been by far the easiest most relaxed growing pepper plant I've got. The germination rate is always near 100% in peat moss/coco, humidity dome, heating pad and temp at 85 with 100% humidity. These have been very easy to train to grow short and bushy for smaller containers. Great house plant near a window. Also I have a few in the ground that are doing well, and 1 in a Kratky jar doing fantastic.

Fantastic Seeds!

I LOVE these Purple Jalapenos! Germination for me is at 75% when I use Jiffy starters and 100% when using the paper towel method in my germination hood at 100% humidity.
These plants PRODUCE! I can't wait to let these babies loose outside soon.

Love these colorful and hot peppers

Nice flavor and home grown always seems hotter than the store. Beautiful flowers and fruit.

Poor Germination, Very slow growing

I planted these at the same time as Jaloro (the yellow jalapeño) and some seeds from a giant store bought jalapeño. The germination rate for these was very poor and the ones that did took weeks to finally sprout. All the others rotted. The seedlings are slow growing and don't look all that robust as compared to the Jaloro and giant store bought. I probably would not recommend these.
