Thai Dragon Plants produce a quick and heavy harvest of tasty and seriously hot 2-4 inch peppers that grow upwards on the plant. It isn't uncommon for a single plant to produce a couple of hundred hot peppers!  The shape and thinness of Thai Dragon peppers are similar to Cayenne peppers, but Thai Dragon peppers can be at least twice as hot as Cayenne. Just imagine the scorching pepper powder and flakes you can make with these little flamethrowers.

WARNING: Plants adjust to small, gradual changes in their environment better than sudden shifts, which is what the hardening off process is all about. Just as you get burned when you bare your untanned skin to the sun, leaves of plants started indoors will develop pale, sunburned patches if they are suddenly exposed to too much sun. The story has a happier ending when you introduce seedlings to bright light and sheltered breezes gradually, over a period of one to three weeks. Read more information on how to harden off and transplant pepper plants in 6 steps.

Thai dragon pepper plants/hot Thai chili peppers seedlings

Oh for a growing well there’s still too small to have peppers on them. The lead the stem was cut which kind of sent the plant into shock, and now it’s really growing from a stem. Kind of a fickle plant I didn’t release it to the sun yet because it really can’t take the heat here in Florida

Thai chili for “som tum”

I got my first Thai chili at around 7 weeks after planting the seedling. It is growing good and looking great.

Great condition but slow growth

I received the pepper plants in great condition and I followed all the steps to harden them off and pot them. I just have a problem with them growing. The leaves are yellow and some have fallen off. I think their growth might be stunted but I still have hope for them. Crossing my fingers they grow!

My seeds are doing great! But my Thai and jalapeño plants are still very small. I have provided them with great organic soil and 5gal buckets and still are very small. Oh well I might have better luck in the spring time.
