Ingredients
-
2 racks babyback ribs
-
1/4 cup brown sugar
-
2 tbsp chili powder
-
1 tbsp Kosher salt
-
1 tsp black pepper
-
1 tsp dried oregano
-
1/2 tsp cayenne pepper
-
1/2 tbps garlic powder
-
1/2 tsp onion powder
-
1/2 tsp Pepper Joe’s Ghost Pepper Powder
-
Pepper Joe’s Ghost BBQ Sauce
Directions
Combine and whisk the Ghost Pepper Powder, brown sugar, chili powder, salt, black pepper, oregano, cayenne, garlic powder, and onion powder in a small bowl.
Peel off the tough membrane of the ribs (the white, rubbery part) that covers the bony side. Using your hands, coat both sides with an even amount of oil. Once coated, rub the spice mixture generously on both sides. Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour (or overnight).
Preheat your oven at 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Wrap the ribs completely with foil and place on a baking sheet. Bake for 2 hours.
Remove ribs from the oven, remove foil, and spread the ribs with Pepper Joe’s Ghost Pepper BBQ Sauce.
Increase oven temperature to 460 degrees Fahrenheit. Return ribs to the oven, uncovered, and bake for an additional 10 minutes.
Optional: for lightly caramelized edges, broil on HIGH for an additional 2-3 minutes. Rest for 10 minutes. Enjoy!
