Jay's Peach Ghost Scorpion Plant Info

Species: Capsicum Chinense

Heat Level: 900,000 SHUs

Type: Super Hot

Seedling Age: 8 weeks old on September 20th

Seedling Size: 2-3 Inches Tall

Jay's Peach Ghost Scorpion Plants are some of the best all-around hot pepper plants you can grow. They're a relatively recent cross between a Ghost pepper plant and Trinidad Scorpion plant and are known for their beautiful peach color, unique pod shape, and solid heat level. JPGS Plants were created in Pennsylvania by Jay Weaver and have heat slightly less than a Ghost with superb fruity flavors. Pods can sometimes develop little stinger tails and wrinkly skin. Fruit on this capsicum chinense plant start out green then change to shades of red and pink, before showing their gorgeous peach color.

WARNING: Plants adjust to small, gradual changes in their environment better than sudden shifts, which is what the hardening off process is all about. Just as you get burned when you bare your untanned skin to the sun, leaves of plants started indoors will develop pale, sunburned patches if they are suddenly exposed to too much sun. The story has a happier ending when you introduce seedlings to bright light and sheltered breezes gradually, over a period of one to three weeks. Read more information on how to harden off and transplant pepper plants in 6 steps.
