Aji Colorado peppers provide a unique blend of quick and intense heat followed by fervid sweet and fruity flavors. Originally found in the South American countries of Bolivia and Peru, you may find these peppers growing around the world and used for their versatile cooking abilities.

These Aji Colorado pepper plants will grow up to 4 ft. tall and bear tremendous amounts of fruit, so you’ll want to make sure these plants are staked and supported properly. Pods will grow between 4-6” long and change colors from green to a bright orange-red color at maturity. The skin is semi-smooth and crisp when you take a bite from one of these peppers.

The heat is slightly less than a Cayenne pepper, but will still provide enough of a kick to liven up any food dish. The thin walls of Aji Colorado peppers make for easy drying. Grind these peppers into flakes or powders and sprinkle them on foods such as meats, stews, and stir-fries. They also make for a great homemade sauce or salsa when chopped up.

Low germination rate pt. 2

Also they were kind in sending a "spicey variety" pack of seeds I think that had 5 and 0 of those germinated 296 jiffy pods over 8 varieties I had the only 2 problem peppers were the red Colorado and the spicey pack from pepper Joe's Goodluck too all cuz I 270 of all my other pods are in perfect condition including 2 others from pepperjoes the purple tiger and Mexican yellow....but dang these red Colorado and the spicey pack are the hardest seeds I've ever tried
