Fatalii Pepper Plant Info
Species: Capsicum Chinense
Heat Level: 125,000 - 325,000 Scoville Heat Units
Type: Hot
Origin: Africa
Seedling Age: 3-4 Months
Seedling Size: 2-8 Inches Tall
Originated from Africa, these heirloom seeds can grow extremely well in hot weather areas. The plant will grow to about 40 inches in a pot and will grow bigger if planted in the ground. Also, the pods will grow to 2-3 inches long. Unlike habaneros, this heat won't creep up on you slowly. Instead, the burn is felt immediately. One can expect to feel the sting of the Fatalii chili pepper in the first bite, feeling the burn after 10 seconds once it hits your throat and up the nose. The fruit has a citrus flavor that deliciously complements any fish, chicken, or veal dish. Hang on for life when you take the first bite!

WARNING: Plants adjust to small, gradual changes in their environment better than sudden shifts, which is what the hardening off process is all about. Just as you get burned when you bare your untanned skin to the sun, leaves of plants started indoors will develop pale, sunburned patches if they are suddenly exposed to too much sun. The story has a happier ending when you introduce seedlings to bright light and sheltered breezes gradually, over a period of one to three weeks. Read more information on how to harden off and transplant pepper plants in 6 steps.

I'm delighted - yes delighted - with how great these plants look and how they were shipped. Minimal plastic, biodegradable pots, and some even had two plants per pot, totally worthwhile. They even came with a little packet of "Kelp Blast" fertilizer.
I've ordered 10 different pepper plants from Pepper Joe's this year. They always arrive in excellent shape and continue to thrive after transplant.
They arrived seemingly healthy butIt's been 55 days since getting these plants and they have not died, but they have not grown since planting them. I hardened them off like you are supposed to but They are stunted and have stayed stunted. I have tried everything to get them to grow but they won't.
Hello, hot peppers can be tricky to grow. Here is the process we follow and see 95% success rate across the board. They are very particular to soil temp requiring 80-85*. I hope this helps! Please give our customer service team a call at 888-660-2276 for additional questions.

I was looking forward to this pepper. None survived. Plants were not healthy. And I have been growing peppers for years so I know what I'm doing.
Thank you for providing us with feedback and we are sorry to hear about your experience. Please email your order number to customerservice@pepperjoe.com we'd be happy to look into this.
Smallest plants I have ever seen. One was under two inches the other right at it. They have been cared for and planted now for several weeks. Still seem slow to get going and in no way worth the money or any head start to the garden. Poor customer service on top of that, look elsewhere.
I am sorry to hear you are unsatisfied with your order. We would be happy to help! Please reach out if you would like additional assistance!
