Habanada Habanero Pepper Seeds

Size

All the great flavor of a habanero but without the heat. Impossible, you say? Well, feast your eyes (and taste buds) on the Habanada! This heat-less pepper ripens from green to orange and has a crisp, thin skin. It’s extremely versatile and is excellent seared, braised, roasted, raw – you name it. Typically, around 2-3 inches in length, you and your friends can enjoy all the fruity (and even floral) notes of the habanero, but don’t have to set your mouth on fire to do it. Seriously, just add these to your cart. You won’t regret it!

Fun Fact: The Habanada absolutely stole the show at the 2014 Culinary Breeding Network Variety Showcase when it was used to make a sherbet.

Crazy yields

I grew these from starts from pepper Joe's. One of the starts died so only 3 made it. They were the highest yielding peppers I ever grew. Excellent flavor and multiple 5 gallon buckets full of peppers

I just got them and they are not planted yet. I will write when I have a crop to write about.

Nice citrusy flavor

My Haba - Nadas had a little more heat that I expected, maybe that is because I grew them close to Chile Tepin and Costa Rican Chilis (C frutescens). They do have a delightful citrusy flavor. One pepper chopped up finely adds a nice zing to any dish (except maybe desserts, but Haba - Nada ice cream might be interesting). Grew well from seed in St Louis, MO.
