Description:

The same sweetness of Banana peppers can now be found with mild heat with the Hot Banana Peppers! Also known as banana chilis or yellow wax peppers, they deliver a tasty mild flavor that's both addicting and unforgettable!

These pepper plants grow between 3-4 ft. tall and produce pods that stretch up to 6" long! Similar to the Sweet Banana Pepper, the Hot Bananas have a conical shape with smooth skin. These peppers mature from a pale green color to yellow, to orange, and finally to red. However, these peppers can be eaten at any stage of maturity.

With just a bit more heat than a Jalapeno - 5,000-10,000 SHUS, to be specific - the Hot Banana Pepper offers a nice heat level with a terrific sweet flavor with a subtle tanginess to it. These peppers are great for pickling, roasting, frying, you name it! Hot Bananas can be used for almost anything.

Hot Banana Pepper Seeds

This year will mark my first year with a garden! And it is 60% peppers! I live in Colorado so I definitely had to start my seeds indoors but I have had 100% germination with my banana peppers in only 8 days! Like I mentioned on my previous review: humidity dome, HEAT MAT, and a decent light source. I’m already looking forward to next year with Pepper Joes!
