Description:

Love the MA Wartryx, but want it in yellow? We got you covered with the MA Wartryx Yellow! This is a yellow variant of the MA Wartryx created by Matthew Arthur (also known as MA), a renowned chili grower. When we heard about the Yellow MA Wartryx, a cross between a Trinidad Scorpion, 7 Pot Jonah, and Ubatuba Cambucci, we just had to grow this super hot pepper!

The MA Wartryx Yellow pepper plant will grow to 3-4 ft. tall and produce super hot peppers of Scotch Bonnet shapes or mushroom-shaped with a rough, bumpy texture. They also may have a protruding point sticking out on the end and ripen from green to yellow-orange when they reach maturity.

The peppers have a sweet, fruity, citrusy flavor…before your tongue is on fire and your face melts off. This is a must-have hot pepper to grow in your garden and use in cooking or sprinkled over food as a dried chili powder!

Want to grow peppers with military-grade heat?! Check out some of our Super Hot Pepper Seed varieties that will melt your face off!

Good germination rate 80%

So far, so good. Received 10 seeds on Feb 13th, 2024. Soaked them in diluted chamomile tea for 8 hours (water to soften the coating and tea to help break the coating down) and placed them on a heat mat at 85-90℉ under a humidity dome. Two weeks later on Feb 29, 2024 one of them was sprouting, so i removed the dome and heat, and placed them under intense grow lighting for about 16-18 hours a day until it produced 2 sets of true leaves. 8 of the 10 seeds planted successfully germinated during this time! I'm excited to watch these plants continue to grow.

  • What You'll Need

    Soil and Tray Method

    Seed Starting Supplies
  • Plant your Seeds

    1. Pre-saturate your seed starting soil mix. Ensure the seed starting mix is fully saturated prior to planting your seed.
    2. Make a ¼-inch hole in the center of each seed starting cell. A #2 pencil eraser is a great tool for making these holes.
    3. Place your seed and cover gently with soil.
You can plant up to 4 seeds per cell to help ensure successful germination.
  • 4. Place your heat mat under  your base tray and your humidity dome on top. For best results, set your temperature controller between 75 - 80 degrees.

    5. Place your plant light above the seed starting tray and turn on. Refer to the plant light manufacturers instructions for the optimal distance. Plant light should remain on for 14 to 16 hours per day.

    6. Enjoy watching them grow! See our full instruction page below for more information.
