Now YOU can decide the age-old debate on which one is hotter: the Habanero or the Scotch Bonnet pepper? Don't let the smoky flavor fool you, it is NUCLEAR HOT. Handle these Caribbean scorchers with care! The fiery Red Scotch Bonnet pepper will ripen from green to a bright red color and form into a 1.5-inch wrinkly, globular, bonnet shape. The Red Scotch Bonnet pepper plant is a short bushy plant and will mature at a later stage. The Red Scotch Bonnet is one of the most recognizable hot peppers in the world. Thanks, Jamaica, for introducing this pepper to the world!

Trusty ol' Scotch Bonnet

Very happy with these plants. Got these seeds because I have recipes that use scotch bonnets but can't find them in the store. Heat was as expected, about habanero level, and the plants were SUPER productive. I got so many peppers from these plants!

Fantastic pepper!

Spring of 2019, my husband ordered seeds from some other place for Scotch Bonnets inspired by a trip we had taken to Jamaica. They didn’t ship forever, he gave up and ordered one evening from Pepper Joe’s, the seeds came the next day - no idea this gem was located right here in Iowa. The seeds germinated and grew beautifully! The peppers were picture perfect and prolific as all get out! We were giving away peppers and we dried a great many of them. Just received my order of seeds for this year and am trying some other peppers as well. Thank you!!
