Description:

Also known as the "Purple Russian," the Ukrainian Purple Tomato is a unique variety with its signature color and great flavor that makes it very addicting!

These tomato plants are very productive, yielding high quantities of these plum-shaped, 3-4" long fruits. Resembling the shape of Roma Tomatoes, these fruits will ripen from green to their mature purplish-red color and have smooth, crack-free skin.

The Ukrainian Purple is a very meaty tomato with a nice sweet flavor that serves as a treat all summer long. This is a great variety for slicing up and serving on sandwiches, salads, bread, and more fresh foods. Love the zesty taste of tomatoes? Go ahead and try snacking on these fruits - we don't judge!

    Seriously took off!

Planted my seeds and put them under a grow light and they just took off! I’m excited to try these for the first time. I love the pictures so I’m sure they will be beautiful. Thank you for the amazing addition to my garden this year.

    Every seed sprouted

Who knew a seed packet could be topical? I love keeping the invaded Ukrainian people top of mind with my summer U.P. tomato crop. :-). I usually grow cherry tomatoes so this darker colored, elongated fruit is a little twist for 2022. It's too early to report on the flavor, but the vine is growing well, I will transplant the seedlings from starter soil this week. I sent UPT seeds to my mom (zone 5) and mother in law (zone 7) for Mother's Day and expect they will have good results, too. Thanks for offering this unique option! Also, thank you for the bonus seed packet of hot peppers; I mailed them to a neighbor and made a new friend.
