Yellow Peter Pepper Seeds

Size

The Yellow Peter Pepper is close kinfolk to the original strain of Red Peter out of Eastern Tennessee. The Yellow has a milder, mellow flavor and not quite as spicy compared to the Red Peter Pepper, but still tasty. This 'brother' produces many realistically shaped pods. However, as in any pepper, pod shapes do vary.

Success!

Received these free with other hots ordered. 1 out of 2 planted germinated within a week. I’m a novice gardener so I’m not sure if this was random luck or not. This is now my healthiest plant in the crop.

Difficult to Germinate!

I also had problems germinating. I received a free packet with Super Hots order and none of the seeds germinated. I received another free packet with a hot sauce order I received later. I was only able to get one of the seeds germinated with that pack. That being said, the plant seems very healthy and producing flowers now. I am hopeful I will get peppers this year even due to the late start.

Again poor Germination

Ordered these along with some other seeds and had poor germination rate. This I find odd as I've had good success with almost everything else I have bought from Pepper Joe's in the past. Only 2 of 12 germinated and were slow starting to grow. Hoping for the best with them and will update further into the growing season.

germination issues

A see a few people posting about trouble germinating. Same here, 2/10 came up, one was yellow and weak and I got rid of it. The other had some strange seedling leaves, like rabbit ears lol. But it's growing very well. I'll let you know how it turns out during the growing season.

Zero Germination. From all seeds.

Even with accelerator and germination stations. None of the seeds from this site grow in my experience. When I contacted them recently to discuss how I tracked my seed spreadsheets explaining that none of their seeds have germinated, they offered no refund, nor any solution .Thank you for a useless email of quoted text from your website as your response. Poor customer service, for a poor product. No surprise here I guess. A total wash in money, time, and potential harvest. Order from somewhere else.

I apologize for your experience Sara, I looked up your order because I wanted to send you some replacement seeds but unfortunately your order was placed nearly a year ago and we can't replace seeds from that far back, we will always replace seeds if you receive no germination after 6 weeks, however it's important to contact us immediately.
