Description:

The Bahamian Goat is a great all-around pepper that looks eerily similar to a mini pumpkin…this one could be a fun little trick come Halloween!

Pepper plants will grow up to 4 ft. tall and produce very high yields of these 2-3" long fruits. Pods have a unique shape that almost reminds you of a Scotch Bonnet. They ripen from dark green to a beautiful light peachy orange color, and the smooth pods sometimes develop a cute little stinger.

The sweet fruity Caribbean flavor is absolutely addicting, with a heat level very similar to a Habanero. The Bahamian Goat is a fun and extremely tasty pepper to grow and makes a delicious hot sauce or powder. Grow this one once and you’ll wonder how you ever lived without it.

*Non-Isolated - Disclaimer: While some of our varieties marked non-isolated were isolated when grown, they are an unstable pepper seed variety that may produce plants with genetic variations, making them less predictable and consistent in terms of traits such as flavor, size, and heat level. While this can lead to unique and exciting variations, it's important to note that these seeds may not reliably reproduce the same characteristics from one generation to the next. Planting non-isolated/unstable pepper seeds can be an adventurous gardening experience, but be prepared for some degree of variability in the resulting pepper plants. We will not be able to offer replacements for variation in traits.

Great seeds

Slow germination, as most hot peppers are. Only planted 2 plants this year, but received an excellent harvest.

Getting Started

So, you've received your seeds and are wondering what's next? At Pepper Joe's, we're committed to equipping you with everything you need to succeed in germinating the pepper seeds you've chosen. Our mission is to introduce you to a diverse array of pepper varieties, setting the stage for an exciting and rewarding gardening experience. Let's dive into the essentials together.

  • What You'll Need

    Soil and Tray Method

    Seed Starting Supplies
  • Plant your Seeds

    1. Pre-saturate your seed starting soil mix. Ensure the seed starting mix is fully saturated prior to planting your seed.
    2. Make a ¼-inch hole in the center of each seed starting cell. A #2 pencil eraser is a great tool for making these holes.
    3. Place your seed and cover gently with soil.
You can plant up to 4 seeds per cell to help ensure successful germination.
  • 4. Place your heat mat under  your base tray and your humidity dome on top. For best results, set your temperature controller between 75 - 80 degrees.

    5. Place your plant light above the seed starting tray and turn on. Refer to the plant light manufacturers instructions for the optimal distance. Plant light should remain on for 14 to 16 hours per day.

    6. Enjoy watching them grow! See our full instruction page below for more information.
