Description:
Love the Carolina Reaper? Try the rare, scorching, intriguing Chocolate Reaper, a cross between the Red Carolina Reaper and the Chocolate Trinidad Moruga Scorpion pepper. The Chocolate Reaper is still being bred out for stability, but we want our customers to be the first to try it.
The Chocolate Reaper pepper plant will grow to around 4 feet tall, and you will see good yields of these dark brown 2" pods. Expect these peppers to have the same wrinkly skin and bumpy texture as the red Reaper. These peppers are not yet 100% stable and there will be variations in pods for several generations.
With a very strong floral aroma, the fruity flavor is similar to the red variety but with a hint of a smoky taste upfront. So tasty! The Chocolate Reaper can reach heat levels beyond 2,200,000 SHUs, so use this pepper sparingly to add a LOT of heat with just a little dose.

Pepper seeds arrived on time and were germinated immediately!
These peppers germinated within a week and a half and were starting to poke through the soil. I am very impressed with the quality or these seeds and the plants they have produced this far. I know it is still months away but I am already looking forward to harvest time in early fall. I will definitely purchase from Pepper Joe again
Good so far.
