The Chocolate Ghost Pepper is a cross between the Bhut Jolokia pepper (also known as the Ghost Pepper) and the Douglah. That lineage creates this fabulous yet dangerous pepper which can have pods hotter than the Ghost Pepper. The Chocolate Ghost Pepper plant will produce peppers that grow around 2-3 inches long and have wrinkled skins. Maturing from green to dark brown, the Bhut Jolokia Chocolate Pepper is a slightly sweet, super-hot pepper with a hint of smoke, and then it will bring a deceiving slow burn that builds up over time. You will likely taste the flavorful tones of this pepper for at least 30 seconds until it throws a major punch. Nevertheless, this is an absolutely fun Chile to grow and to expand your growing list!
