Description:

You may have heard of the traditional Serrano pepper, but have you heard of the prolific Purple Serrano? Also known as the Purple Serrano Chili, Serrano Chili, or Serrano Chili Pepper, this beautiful purple-colored pepper is slightly longer than the traditional serrano pepper and is milder in spice.

The similarity they share is the same shape, resembling a candle-flame shape. These pods grow up to around 4" long and have beautiful shiny purple skin. Purple Serranos ripen from green to purple but don’t forget to harvest them when they turn purple because if you leave the Purple Serrano on the plant for too long, they will turn red!

Serrano Chilie will have sweet, fresh flavors with a mild spice. Heat levels for these peppers range anywhere between 8,000-22,000 SHUs. This is a delicious and unique variety to add to your Pico de Gallo, salads, and salsas!

Great seeds!

All of the ones I planted came up and are hardening beautifully. I can't wait to see them start producing! I have 100% germination so far, planting half the seeds of each variety I purchased.
