Don’t be fooled by this imposter! Despite a nearly identical appearance, this is not your trusty, old friend the Habanero. Actually, now that we’re thinking about it - this Sweet Imposter Pepper may actually treat you a little better than the original!

Sweet Imposter pepper plants grow around 3 ft. tall producing high yields of these muted orange pods that look exactly like a big Habanero pepper! They have a glossy, wrinkly exterior and ripen from green to a muted orange at maturity.

Once you take a bite, there is no mistaking it. The Sweet Imposter Pepper has essentially no heat – just tons of juicy, citrusy flavor. You'll be wondering if you got the right pepper for a second! But then, you'll come back to your sense and enjoy the great flavors the Sweet Imposter has to offer. You’ll enjoy these peppers in soups, salsas, and sauces, or just as a fresh snack.

Sweet Imposter Pepper Seeds

Good Germination Rate

While I haven't had the actual peppers yet, the plants themselves germinated at a high rate and have survived 75% (3/4) that I planted outside -- granted I just threw them in the ground with no gradual introduction to the sun.
