This striking orange pepper is a cross between a 7 Pot Jonah and Pimienta De Neyde and has an interesting color variation. The 7JPN pepper plant produces unique pods that ripen to a bright orange color and may occasionally show burnt-looking colors spots or purple colors. The 7 Pot Jonah X Piemienta De Neyde is a great tasting pepper with fruity, slightly papaya notes and low-end “superhot” heat profile. Could you imagine using this hot pepper for powder, hot sauce, or BBQ sauce?
The pepper will have slight wrinkled skins and thick walls. The plant will be dark in color, but not black like the Pimienta De Neyde. Don’t miss out on this special variety!
WARNING: Plants adjust to small, gradual changes in their environment better than sudden shifts, which is what the hardening off process is all about. Just as you get burned when you bare your untanned skin to the sun, leaves of plants started indoors will develop pale, sunburned patches if they are suddenly exposed to too much sun. The story has a happier ending when you introduce seedlings to bright light and sheltered breezes gradually, over a period of one to three weeks. Read more information onhow to harden off and transplant pepper plants in 6 steps.
