The Black Prince pepper may be small, but its tiny size doesn’t mute its outstanding beauty. Grow one of the most gorgeous ornamental-type varieties out there, the Black Prince pepper plant. You can enjoy growing this variety in pots, containers, patios, and gardens to compliment your landscape! The leaves will vary in color from green to black, and beautiful purple flowers will appear.

The charming peppers grow from black to red when mature but quite small, reaching only about a 1/2-inch long. They have a slightly sweet flavor and a similar heat profile to a Cayenne pepper. They make a great and colorful addition to meals (and your garden)!

WARNING: Plants adjust to small, gradual changes in their environment better than sudden shifts, which is what the hardening off process is all about. Just as you get burned when you bare your untanned skin to the sun, leaves of plants started indoors will develop pale, sunburned patches if they are suddenly exposed to too much sun. The story has a happier ending when you introduce seedlings to bright light and sheltered breezes gradually, over a period of one to three weeks. Read more information on how to harden off and transplant pepper plants in 6 steps.

Will be a return customer!

Got the plants in good condition. Hardened them off and they grew like champs! Got flowers now and can't wait for the pods! I will be trying new plants next year.
