Big Black Mama Seeds

Size

The Big Black Mama pepper plant produces lots of BIG hot peppers.  We think it should be called the Bountiful Big Black Mama. The Big Black Mama pepper is a cross between Naga Morich and 7 Pot Douglah, so be prepared to be blown away with intense heat.  Even the plants are big, growing up to 4 feet tall.  Pods are about 2 inches long, with wrinkles to scare the kids and colors from reddish-brown to deep dark brown.  Credits to Troy Primeaux of Louisiana for this wonderful creation.  The Big Black Mama Pepper Scoville is 1,000,000 SHUs but may go hotter than this!

You will notice sweet, fruity flavors with citrus tones, but the look of the monster may put shivers in your back by how gnarly it looks. The Big Black Mama chili is perfect for hot sauces, jellies and jam, pepper powder, and more!

Germinated :)

Most of the seeds germinated. They are growing but slower than other pepper plants. I will love the fast one it produces.

Very prolific, but not a stable variety

Plants are very fast growers and very prolific, however, they require larger pots.
I had them in 3 gallon pots, and they got extremely root bound. Potted up a couple which I wish to keep till next year in 13 gallon pots for them to grow to their fullest potential and have space for next year.

NOTE:
The variety does not seem stable, none of the pods came out tapered or with a bumpy flesh like in the descriptive photos.
They came out more like big chocolate scotch bonnets.
